First of all, GPS stands for Global Positioning System and usually refers to the GPS receiver. Especially coming from the signal receiver Constellation of 27 satellites that orbit the earth (in fact there are only 24 operational satellites and 3 additional administrators if one fails 24) and of the signal you can count on the absolute position of the earth. This satellite system created by the U.S. military after the U.S. government open to the public. They are satellites circling the Earth is making two complete rotations every day. From their planned orbits like that anytime and anywhere there is a world at least four satellites visible sky. A GPS receiver placed four or more satellite signals from these satellites ever sent to Earth, satellites and calculate every distance from this information to calculate the absolute location on the earth. The process of determining the location of the GPS receiver is the basic principle called trilateration mathematics.
Let me explain a little about this principle of GPS. This is a bit complicated so if you do not t you want to bother with the details - just skip this chapter. As I said, placing a satellite GPS receiver and calculating the distance. Say for example that the recipient knows Satellite_1 is 20 miles from it. In the entire space can be anywhere on a large dead Satellite_1 to 20-mile radius around the receiver. If the recipient also knows that Satellite_2 is 30 miles from it, can you cover up parts satellite_1 and satellite_2 environment. Cut the two in a perfect circle (thinking in 3 dimensions). The distance from three satellites to give us three intersecting circles of the two points. One of the points are in place and another world. This second point is the actual location of the GPS receiver. The world as a die, four recipients can select the second point and this is how he knows exactly the location on earth.
Basically, the GPS receiver needs only three satellites publication but always try to Find as many satellites to improve the accuracy of the results.
Satellite transmission signals that the constant high frequency, low-power radio waves containing information about the satellites and their locations. The GPS receiver can calculate the distance of the satellites by counting the time it takes to get the signal from the satellite receiver.
The process described above works well but is not accurate for several reasons as a sign of disturbance, weather and more. Differential GPS (DGPS) helps people correct inaccuracies. This is the development of base stations located on earth. Equipment at the station, especially the people who know the location of the center and always sends the GPS information receiver (but only those technologies that are implemented) how to modify them so that the results would be more accurate.
GPS receiver made a count, can tell the latitude, longitude and altitude position. This is not so know a lot of average users. So to use a GPS receiver user-friendly than many recipients to send the data to plan and maps Displays can show a position on it.
Well that's it for this article and look for updates, because as I said in this article about the two articles on the road!
