A phone number is not only a collection of random numbers. There are often incorporated into the idea of how these numbers should be formatted as the local system put back in the year 1940. You probably know your area code that indicates what state or territory of your life - and who can tell you information about phone numbers that you see. When thinking about this phone number, you also need to know a little about the prefix.

Prefix number tells you the name of the city, part of the city, or town. This prefix comes directly after the local telephone set of digits. In large areas, cities need to have a lot more than one prefix. If you find information about the phone number, you can always check your area and then look for the prefix in the code. That alone can tell you what you need, but not always.

Some areas use the prefix in a variety of ways. Some areas in the pool at random prefix that they do not know the number.
